Great Band Alert: Cables & Arms

Hailing from San Francisco, Cables & Arms is a four piece melodic post hardcore punk band.  Since forming in 2012 the band has released five EPs and their full-length debut, Framing Defeat for the Critical Eye, is due out in February.

The band's sound is aggressive and pointedly angry without sacrificing melody or hooks.  Some bands that fall into the post hardcore framework lose themselves in the rage of loud guitars and angular arrangements, luckily Cables & Arms is NOT one of those bands.  This band has expertly anchored their rage and desperation with classic pop rock sensibilities resulting in that perfect mix of anger and danceablity.  In other words you can feel the frustration expressed in these songs while joyously rocking out all at the same time.  This band is a must for fans of the likes of Fugazi, Hot Water Music, and AFI.

Below are two songs from the band's upcoming release, Framing Defeat for the Critical Eye, "Kill Yourself" and "Hang the Moon."
