Album Review: 'Liar's Club' by The Honest Heart Collective

Title:  Liar's Club (BandCamp, iTunes)
Artist:  The Honest Heart Collective (Official, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTubeBandCamp, SoundCloud, ReverbNation)

The Honest Heart Collective's full-length debut is a folk and punk inspired collection of rock 'n' roll anthems.  Mixing big hooks with heartfelt lyrics, Liar's Club is an enthralling record.  Hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, the band cranks out tight riffs and strong melodies over personal and honest lyrics that tackle life, love, and the road.  At times The Honest Heart Collective's music is reminiscent of mid '90s alternative rock (Third Eye Blind), early '90s power pop (Gin Blossoms), and 2000s punk inspired anthem rock (The Gaslight Anthem) but more often than not it sounds like an amalgam of all three.  Liar's Club is a solid debut from a band that shows a great deal of potential.
