Album Review: 'Pilot' by Lags

Title: Pilot (To Lose La Track Records, BandCamp [To Lose La Track], Amazon, iTunes)
Artist: Lags (Facebook, YouTube, SoundCloud)

Hailing from Rome, Italy, Lags play a very, for lack of a better term, traditional brand of post hardcore. Taking influence from the likes of At The Drive-In, Refused, and Fugazi, Lags focus that raw urgency and chaotic energy into some great hooks and big choruses. The song that really caught my attention and is the record's standout moment is the insanely catchy “Queen Bee” a song that packs a punch while getting under your skin, almost like a modern day “Waiting Room.” From top to bottom Pilot is an excellent record that is a must for fans of post hardcore or any of the aforementioned bands.
