First off, here's the press release --
“Rise Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of DAVE HAUSE. This Philadelphia native has been keeping busy over the last decade. You probably know him as the guitar player of PAINT IT BLACK or the front man of THE LOVED ONES. However, what you might not know is that Dave has been performing solo for the last couple years, traveling the world playing his own brand of heart on the sleeve songs that hit home. Having spent the last 2 years on tour with Social Distortion, The Gaslight Anthem, Frank Turner, Chuck Ragan, Lucero, The Bouncing Souls and many more, it's safe to say that Dave Hause is doing something right.
On March 26th Rise will re-release his sought after debut album, “Resolutions”. It’s raw and emotional, and is already becoming a staple “must have” album in the Rock 'n' Roll community. Dave will head out on tour to support the re-release. You can catch him this March/April on the Revival Tour with Tim McIllrath of Rise Against, and Chuck Ragan of Hot Water Music. He will then be heading to Australia to Support The Gaslight Anthem in May. Catch Dave Hause on tour now with Flogging Molly.”
Resolutions was one of 2011's best records and one that gets played constantly at my house. The record was originally released on Paper + Plastick Records (check out my review here). The move to Rise Records will greatly increase the availability of this record and Hause's future work. Paper + Plastick is a great label, but it doesn't have the distribution that Rise has (it's been pretty much impossible to get a physical copy of Resolutions, even online). You can pre-order the re-release here (in a variety of different packages to boot). To help drum up excitement for the re-release, Rise has put together a great lyric video for the song "C'mon Kid" (see below).
This is some seriously great news. Dave Hause is a tremendous talent and deserves to have his music heard and widely/easily available.
