Album Review: 4:00 AM

Title:  4:00 AM (Amazon, iTunes, CD Universe)
Artist:  Wilkinson Blades (Facebook, ReverbNation, Shiftone Records)

Wilkinson Blades plays a style of alt country reminiscent of Johnny Hickman and Sons of Bill.  4:00 AM is 11 songs of alcohol soaked, twang infused rock 'n' roll that owes as much to Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Mellencamp as it does Uncle Tupelo.  The record runs the gambit from toe tapping numbers to drunken ballads.  Hailing from Portland, OR, Wilkinson Blades is comprised of local music veterans and that experience shines through on the band’s full-length debut 4:00 AM.  This is a great record for fans of roots rock, Americana, and alt country.
