Album Review: Deadbeats

Title:  Deadbeats (Official, BandCamp, Amazon, iTunes)

Rifkin plays catchy, slightly '77 style, slightly pop punk, slightly melodic hardcore, anthematic punk rock 'n' roll.  Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Rifkin started in 2008.  Their latest album is 38 minutes of punk rock goodness.  From start to finish Deadbeats is an energetic record full of anthems with great hooks and big choruses.  This is the kind of band and record that could appeal to a wide swath of fans of the various different punk sub-genres.  Seriously if you are a fan of The Loved Ones, Dillinger Four, Bad Religion, Street Dogs, The Bouncing Souls, They Stay Dead, Lagwagon, or any similar bands you should seriously check out Rifkin.  Besides, the band is giving Deadbeats away as a free download on their website, so there really is no excuse to not give it a listen.
