I received the following press release today and thought this was just too cool.
Greenvans, the first van rental company to make vegetable oil powered vans commercially available, is the brainchild of Andy Reitz (former drummer of Defeater) & Anthony Rovedo. The company started in 2008 with one van and a half-baked idea to rent it to friends in touring bands. The idea grew into a van rental company with more vans and more friends who depend on the company for affordable, reliable and safe tour transportation. The guys at Greenvans have taken what they've learned from their own experiences playing in touring bands and created a company built by musicians, for musicians. Greenvans is about getting you to your shows while saving you time, money and frustration.
The new website, which responsively scales to any device or screen resolution you access it from, was designed and developed by Kevin Duquette (co-owner of Topshelf Records) and is now live at http://rentgreenvans.com.
To celebrate the launch of the site, Greenvans has partnered with former client The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die to premiere a new video for their song "To The Janitor, To The King" which was released on Run For Cover Records' "Mixed Signals" compilation last year. The video was shot and edited by Lukas Hodge. The video is here.
