Album Review: Chest Crawl

Title:  Chest Crawl (BandCamp, Amazon, iTunes)
Artist:  Guantanamo Baywatch (Official, Facebook, MySpace, BandCamp, Last.fm)

Hailing from Portland, OR, Guantanamo Baywatch plays ‘60s style surf in the vein of Dick Dale and The Ventures.  Along with the surf guitar and rhythms the band adds a healthy dose of punk rock attitude and garage rock flair to the mix.  The 11 song album contains both instrumental songs and ones with vocals breaking things up and keeping them interesting.  Chest Crawl is a great record for fans of classic surf, garage rock, or bands like Man or Astro-Man and Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet.
