Album Review: Romancing

Title:  Romancing (Amazon, iTunes, AllMusic)

Devin’s full-length debut Romancing is a pure blast of garage rock excellence.  With songs about love and longing and attitude straight out of a ‘50s greaser flick, Brooklyn, NY’s Devin has channeled the swagger of early rock ‘n’ roll and rockabilly while at the same time feed off of the energy of ‘70s punk (ala Johnny Thunders and Iggy Pop).  The end result is an extremely fun and lively album.  Fans of newer bands like Royal Headache and Terry Malts, or older bands like The Devil Dogs, or classic bands like The Rolling Stones, The Faces, and Johnny Thunders should definitely give Romancing a listen.  I suspect that you will like what you hear.
