Album Review: Year of the Witch

Title:  Year of the Witch (BandCamp, Amazon, iTunes)
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Races is a trippy, dreamy indie rock band.  The band's full-length debut, Year of the Witch, sounds like the result of young passion written by folks that probably listened to a lot of Rilo Kiley and The Flaming Lips in high school and Vampire Weekend in college.  The record is mellow and moody and filled with fuzzy textures and breathy vocals creating an ambiance that is distinctive.  Fans of dreamy and breathy indie rock and pop should eat Year of the Witch up.
