Album Review: Translation

Title:  Translation (Black Numbers Records, Amazon, Interpunk)
Artist:  Homelife (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, BandCamp, Big Cartel, Last.fm)

Hailing from Lansing, MI, Homelife is a post hardcore band with gravelly vocals and angular guitars.  So in other words, this is a band that probably grew up on the likes of Hot Water Music and At the Drive-In.  The band’s album Translation is a testament to their influences while at the same time the band is adding their own voice to the post hardcore / emo genre.  Played very well, Translation is a tight record from a band that is sure to please many a young punk rocker.
