Album Review: Relationship Sneakers

Title:  Relationship Sneakers (BandCamp)
Artist:  Goin’ Places (Official, BandCampFacebook, Twitter, MySpace, Last.fm)

Goin’ Places is a pop punk power trio from Staten Island, NY.  Their latest album, Relationship Sneakers, is a pop punk powerhouse; 15 unbelievably catchy songs about girls, life, music, and girls.  Listening to Relationship Sneakers really reminds me of The Mr. T Experience’s classic album Love is Dead.  In fact, if I was going to compare Goin’ Places to any one band it would probably be The Mr. T Experience.  If you’ve never heard The Mr. T Experience then think Ramones style pop punk with Buddy Holly-esque harmonies and a hint of ‘60s surf feel.  That’s exactly what you get with Goin’ Places.  This is great stuff and a must for fans of pop punk!
