A Gen Xer’s Apology to the Occupy Generation

Cracked.com’s John Cheese has put together a revealing and thought provoking post entitled 5 Ways We Ruined the Occupy Wall Street Generation.  In this post he apologizes to Generation Y and Z for things like teaching kids that manual labor is something to be ashamed of, that college would guarantee a good job, that being a teenager extends into the 20s, that entertainment has no monetary value, and that going outside isn’t fun.  In each instance Cheese goes into detail explaining his apology and why he thinks we (Generation X) have passed on some really bogus ideas to the generations after us.

I’ll admit that I’m guilty of at least some of these, but this was certainly an eye-opening read.
