Question of the Day – A Buddhist President

Do you think the USA would ever elect a Buddhist as President?

My Two Cents –
At the moment, no. The conservative media machine would spin and distort the values of Buddhism so much that it would terrify those on the right, especially the religious right, so much that they would never listen to what the candidate actually has to say. Just look at how many people still think that Obama is a Muslim. The ignorance of Buddhism alone would hurt the candidate, but the spin would kill him/her.
