Free speech…maybe not

According to this story, Marine Cpl. Adam Kokesh may be stripped of his Honorable Discharge because of his participation in an anti-war protest. If this actually happens it will be a grave injustice at best and a full blown attack on the First Amendment at worst. This country’s most prized freedom is our freedom of speech and if our government is allowed to silence those who are expressing that freedom then we have truly lost our way. Protesting against our government is a basic principle on which this great country was founded and it MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS!!!

"This is clearly a case of selective prosecution and intimidation of veterans who speak out against the war," Kokesh said. "To suggest that while as a veteran you don't have freedom of speech is absurd."

We can disagree on the war, abortion, the border, taxes, and so on, but we must all agree on the sanctity of free speech. This is something that we can never give up because if we do then America will be lost.
